Ukrainian/Indian beauty brand Chandi presents 100% natural coconut oil for hair and body from its Herbal Gold line. Coconut oil, also known as copra oil, has been used for skincare and hair grooming for centuries. It effectively nourishes, softens and moisturises hair and skin. The product is recommended for use in beauty salons and tanning facilities.
Coconut oil is extracted by cold pressing from the kernel or meat of mature coconuts. It is white or slightly yellowish when solid and water clear when liquid. Coconut oil has a high melting point and turns into a liquid at about 27°С. Unrefined coconut oil has a light coconut smell. RBD (refined, bleached and deodorised) coconut oil has no flavour.
Chandi offers high-quality, unrefined coconut oil. The product is free of preservatives, stabilisers, or any other additives. Due to its high saturated fat content, coconut oil is resistance to oxidation and lasts long without spoiling. To prolong its shelf life, Chandi sells its coconut oil in non-transparent bottles.
Useful properties. Pure coconut oil actively nourishes dry, dyed and damaged hair along the entire length. It provides the hair with vitamins and other essential nutrients, as well as reduces hair loss and stimulates its growth. Coconut oil can also be applied as a skincare product. It makes the skin softer, keeps it hydrated, stimulates skin renewal, and produces an anti-age effect thanks to its antioxidant properties.
Coconut oil is also valued for its healing properties. It speeds up the healing of minor skin injuries, relieves sunburnt skin, and can be used to treat some skin conditions, such as eczema and psoriasis. Coconut oil also helps to protect the skin from the harmful effects of UV rays, although it is no alternative to proper sunscreen.
Directions. Apply a small amount of oil to your hair or skin, massage. When applied to hair, leave the oil for up to 3 hours, then rinse with herbal shampoo. Use 2–3 times a week.
