  • Chemical peels effectively remove dead skin cells, but they also disturb the skin’s natural pH balance and may cause redness, irritation, and burning. To help you to prevent the possible negative effects of acid peels and restore your skin’s pH back to normal, Cocos has created Fruit Acid Peel Neutraliser.

    The product is specifically designed to neutralise chemical peels formulated with AHAs and BHAs (salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, mandelic acid, etc.). The neutraliser has an alkaline pH; when an alkali and an acid react, they neutralize each other, resulting in salt and water. This reaction allows to restore the natural pH of the skin after chemical exfoliation.

    Cocos’s chemical peel neutraliser is suitable for at-home and salon use. Thanks to a light gel texture, the product is easy to spread over the skin. In addition to alkali that neutralize fruit acids, it contains soothing and moisturising ingredients such as glycerine, panthenol, and allantoin. They prevent irritation and inflammation, stimulate skin renewal, and help to keep your skin soft and hydrated.

    With this fruit acid peel neutraliser, you will forget about skin redness, itching and burning, irritations, rashes, and other side effects of chemical peels.

    Note. After the procedure, apply a moisturiser with SPF to protect your skin from UV radiation because chemical peels make it more vulnerable. While a neutraliser helps to reduce their negative effects, your skin still needs extra protection.

    Directions. Apply on top of chemical peel, leave for 1 minute, rinse with lukewarm water. If you have sensitive skin, try two-step neutralisation. First, apply on top of chemical peel, leave for 1 minute, rinse. Then apply once more, leave for 30–40 seconds to neutralise any remaining acid on the skin surface, rinse again.

    Ingredients. Aqua, Arginine, Glycine, Glycerin, Sodium Bicarbonate, Panthenol, Allantoin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Preservative, MGDA.
