The lip balm is based on natural carrier oils and waxes, including olive oil, cocoa butter, crambe oil, kokum oil (also known as kokum butter), candelilla wax, apple wax, and capping wax (a special type of beeswax that bees produce to cover cured honey). Oils provide the skin of the lips with fatty acids that restore its elasticity and natural protective barrier. Waxes create a thin protective layer on the lip surface, which prevents dehydration and protects the lips against harmful environmental factors, including ultraviolet radiation.
The effect of carrier oils and natural waxes contained in the lip balm is complemented and enhanced by ultra-pure rose hip, sea buckthorn and rosemary CO2 extracts. They speed up the healing of minor cracks, strengthen capillary walls, and act as natural preservatives that stabilise the lip balm formula and ensure a long shelf life.
