The lip balm is based on three plant waxes – candelilla wax, carnauba wax and apple wax. Candelilla wax is derived from the leaves and stems of a flowering shrub native to Mexico, and carnauba wax is obtained from the leaves of a palm native to Brazil. All three waxes are 100% vegan-friendly. They have powerful protective and emollient properties.
Alongside waxes, Agor’s Vegana Lip Balm contains carrier oils (olive oil, cocoa butter, coconut oil, crambe oil, cupuaçu butter) and ultra-pure CO2 extracts (comfrey and rosemary). The oils nourish and moisturise the skin of the lips, make it softer and stimulate skin regeneration. In addition, they improve skin elasticity and firmness, as well as provide protection from the environment. The extracts speed up the healing of cracks and keep the lips looking healthy and supple.
Other active ingredients that can be found in this lip balm are olive oil phytosterols, bisabolol, glycyrrhizinic acid, vegetable squalane, and vitamins E and F. Phytosterol improve skin elasticity and provide protection. Bisabolol soothes the lips, stimulates skin regeneration, and has an antibacterial and antifungal effect. Glycyrrhizinic acid softens and soothes the skin. Squalane has healing, softening, moisturising, and anti-age properties. Finally, vitamins protect the lips from UV damage and photo-ageing, trigger the skin’s natural regeneration mechanisms, and produce antioxidant effect.
