Shea Body Butter by Dr. Sante Natural Therapy is a super nourishing body care product based on high-quality shea butter. The product has a nice smell with a hint of caramel and nuts, and a delicate creamy texture; it provides the skin with nutrients and has a pronounced protective and regenerative effect.
Shea butter is extracted from the nut of the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa or Butyrospermum parkii) native to West and Central Africa. It has long been used as a skincare product in countries such as Ghana and Nigeria due to its emollient properties. Shea butter is used as a base for medicinal ointments, skin moisturisers and lip balms, added to products for dry and brittle hair, and used to prepare the famous African black soap.
Shea butter is composed of the following fatty acids: oleic acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid, palmitic acid, and trace amounts of linolenic acid and arachidic acid. It also contains tocopherols (vitamin E), which are valued for their antioxidant properties.
Shea butter helps to protect the skin from UV damage, moisturises and nourishes the skin, speeds up its regeneration and renewal, prevents dryness and flaking, makes the skin softer, and stimulates the production of collagen, which helps to maintain the skin’s elasticity and firmness.
Shea Body Butter is rather thick, but it melts on contact with the skin and absorbs quickly without leaving your skin feeling sticky or greasy. Its light, pleasant smell will help you to relax and boost your mood for hours.
Directions. Apply to clean, dry skin. Massage until absorbs.
