Ukrainian brand Aromatika presents walnut oil. This is a 100% natural product extracted from walnuts and enriched with vitamin E (tocopherol). Walnut oil is used in food preparation due to its delicate flavour and scent with a nutty quality, as well as in traditional medicine. It is also a popular cosmetic carrier oil due to its light texture and high polyunsaturated fatty acid content.
Composition (useful substances). Walnut oil is composed largely of unsaturated fatty acids, particularly lioleic acid (58%), alpha-linolenic acid (14%), oleic acid (13%), as well as some saturated fats (9%). It also contains carotenoids, vitamins B1, B2 and P, vitamin E (tocopherol) which is valued for its antioxidant properties, and minerals such as zinc, iodine, calcium, copper, cobalt, iron, phosphorus, and magnesium.
Properties and application. Walnut oil is considered to be one of the best oils for dry, sensitive and mature skin due to its rejuvenating, regenerative, toning, nourishing, moisturising and protective properties. You can apply walnut oil as is or add it to moisturisers, facial masks or DIY skincare products. It will make your skin silky smooth and improve complexion. Food-grade walnut oil can be used to heal cracked lips in winter.
Directions. Can be applied as is, mixed with other vegetable and/or essential oils or added to store-bought cosmetic products. Absorbs well without leaving the skin feeling sticky or greasy.
Ingredients. Juglans Regia Seed Oil, Tocopherol.
Contraindications. Hypersensitivity or intolerance.
