South Korean beauty trends have become so popular in the West lately that there’s even a special term for them, K-beauty. The traditional way, which most Korean women use, is to dilute a capful of the product with lots of water in a big bowl (or plug your sink, fill it with water and pour some product) and splash the liquid onto the face. However, many Western consumers found this weird and decided to apply splash masks in a different way: they pour some product into their palms and gently pat it into the skin.
It should be noted that original Korean splash masks are highly concentrated and absolutely must be diluted with water, whereas masks produced by Western beauty brands are often ready to use and do not require dilution.
