Permanent tints also differ from henna tints in the duration of the effect. The result of tinting your eyebrow with a regular tint will last for up to three weeks, while henna stays on the skin for a couple of weeks, and up to a month on eyebrow hairs. The duration of the effect also depends on how well you take care of your eyebrows. For example, if you use a scrub or a sponge on your eyebrows, henna will wash off much earlier than expected, while permanent dye probably won’t be affected as much.
Speaking about the differences between henna tints and regular tints, we should also mention the important fact that henna not only dyes eyebrow hairs but also strengthens them, while regular tints don’t have such an effect. On the contrary, they can damage hair structure and weaken hair follicles when used too often, leading to eyebrow hair loss.
So, what should you choose, a henna eyebrow tint or a regular one? The answer is quite simple: you should choose whatever suits your peculiar needs more.
- If you have thick eyebrows and all you want is to change their colour without changing the shape, if you want to make your eyebrows lighter than they are, and if you are not afraid of chemicals contained in permanent dyes, opt for a regular brow tint.
- If you want to make your brows look thicker, change their shape, cover patches caused by plucking or eyebrow hair loss, and strengthen your eyebrow hairs, opt for a natural henna brow tint.
