  • Food grade wheat germ oil is produced by the Ukrainian brand Ekolux. This oil is extracted from the germ of the wheat kernel. It is very high in vitamin E and has the highest content of this vitamin of any food. Wheat germ oil can be used as a dietary supplement, for cooking, and as a cosmetic product.

    Nutrient content. Wheat germ oil contains a combination of polyunsaturated (over 70%), monounsaturated and saturated fatty acids. They include 45-60% linoleic acid (omega-6), about 11% alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and 12-30% oleic acid. The oil also contains 14-17% palmitic acid and a small amount (0.5-2.3%) of stearic acid.

    Effect. Wheat germ oil has a positive effect on the cardiovascular, digestive, nervous, endocrine and reproductive systems of the body. This oil increases the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, provides your body with zinc and boosts the immune system. Due to the high content of squalene, wheat germ oil has pronounced immunostimulating, healing and bactericidal properties. It can be used as an additional treatment for endocrine disorders, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism disorders, and acute alcohol poisoning as well as during the rehabilitation period after a serious illness, surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

    It is highly recommended to consult your physician before consuming wheat germ oil on a regular basis. The product is not a medication.

    Precautions and contraindications. Individual intolerance or hypersensitivity, pregnancy, lactation, hepatitis, pancreatitis, cholelithiasis. Not recommended for children under the age of 12.

    Dosage and administration. Adults and children 12 years of age or older: 1 teaspoon 2 times a day 30 minutes before meals for 30 to 45 days. Do not wash down with water. Can be added to cold dishes. Can be used externally as a cosmetic product.
