• Ukrainian beauty brand WildLife presents Anti Acne Alginate Mask. The product is designed to take care of oily and problem skin prone to breakouts. It is formulated with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients that eliminate pathogenic bacteria and soothe the skin.   WildLife face masks are based on sodium alginate, also known as alginic acid. It is a naturally occurring polysaccharide obtained from kelp and other brown algae. Due to its ability to absorb water quickly and turn into gel, alginate is widely used as an ingredient in plastifying face masks. Alginate masks help to lock in moisture, make the skin firmer, improve its elasticity, and prevent premature skin ageing.

  WildLife’s anti acne face mask also contains herbal extracts with anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, bactericidal and soothing properties. They are calendula extract and lavender extract. These ingredients normalise sebum secretion, eliminate acne and prevent its recurrence, soothe irritated skin, unclog and tighten pores, improve complexion, prevent redness and flaking, and make the skin look fresh and glowing.

  Directions. Mix 25 g mask with 70–80 ml cool water in a non-metallic bowl. Stir well for 1 minute. Coat your eyebrows and hairline with some cosmetic oil or face cream. Apply the mask in a thick layer (3–4 mm). Leave for 20–25 minutes, then remove the mask by lifting it off in one peace starting from the chin. Remove residue with a wet wipe or a sponge soaked in toner. Apply toner or moisturiser. Please note that the mask begins to plastify in 4–5 minutes, so apply is as soon as the mask is ready.

  Ingredients. Diatomaceous Earth, Sodium Alginate, Calcium Sulfate, Calendula Officinalis Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Allantoin, Sodium Pyrophosphate, Hyaluronic Acid, Yellow Pigment, Tropical Fruit Fragrance.

     I'm a big fan of alginate masks. I started with Korean ones, of course, and then tried products from other countries, including this one from Ukraine, because why the hell not. And I should say that I quite liked it.
     Interestingly, most alginate masks are fragrance-free but this one has a strong fruity smell. I just hope the fragrance is natural. Works like any other alginate masks, no complaints here. Of course it doesn't help to get rid of acne right away, but it does reduce infolammation and redness, makes the skin smoother.
