Ukrainian beauty brand Cocos presents its Salicylic Peel. This is an effective face cleansing product for oily and combination skin prone to breakouts. It effectively unclogs and tightens pores, has a disinfecting effect, eliminates acne and helps to prevent acne scars.
The key active ingredient contained in the product is salicylic acid. It is widely used in medicine due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. Salicylic acid is a common ingredient in chemical peels due to its ability to weaken the bonds between dead skin cells and dissolve sebum that clogs pores.
Salicylic Peel 10% (pH 3) by Cocos is designed for delicate exfoliation and cleansing. If you’ve never used chemical peels before, such concentration is perfect to start with. The product actively cleanses the skin and stimulates its renewal, prevents acne due to its ability to unclog pores and eliminate pathogenic microbes, makes the skin softer and smoother, improves complexion and restores the skin’s healthy glow.
Directions. Apply several drops of product to clean, dry skin with your fingertips, avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave for 1–5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Leave for 1 minute during the first application, than add 1 minute during each subsequent procedure, but don’t leave the product on the skin longer than 6–7 minutes. Use once a week for 2 or 3 months (10–12 procedures).
A light tingling or burning sensation during the procedure is a normal reaction to chemical peel, as well as red skin or flaking within 1–2 days after peeling. However, if you experience severe burning or other unpleasant symptoms, you should consult a doctor. To prevent allergic reactions, do a patch test on a small area of the skin (for example, on your wrist or behind the ear) 24 hours before the first application.
Do not use during pregnancy or lactation, or if you have intolerance to aspirin or diabetes mellitus. Do not apply to damaged or inflamed skin.
