Mineral deodorants, also known as mineral salt deodorants or deodorant crystals, have become quite popular over the past few years. Alunite Mineral Deodorant by Cocos consists of potassium alum, a naturally occurring mineral. Unlike aluminium compounds that can be found in mass market antiperspirants, potassium alum is completely safe for human health. It prevents body odour by inhibiting the growth of odour-causing bacteria, but it doesn’t affect perspiration. Mineral deodorant doesn’t stain clothes and keeps you feeling fresh all day long.
Potassium alum has antiseptic, astringent, bactericidal and soothing properties. Thanks to them, Alunite Mineral Deodorant has a number of uses in addition to its main function. You can apply it topically to relieve irritation and itching caused by insect bites, to speed up the healing of shaving nicks and cuts, to stop or reduce bleeding, to treat acne, etc.
Directions. Moisten the top of the crystal with cool water, apply to skin. Rinse the crystal. Reapply in 10–12 hours or as often as required.
