Marseille soap is a 100% natural cosmetic product produced by Cocos (Ukraine). It is made according to an old traditional recipe that has been slightly improved by the company’s specialists for the maximum benefit.
Marseille soap (savon de Marseille) is made by treating vegetable oils with lye and sea water (saltwater neutralises the excess lye, making the soap gentler to the skin). Traditional Marseille soap contains at least 72% of olive oil. Thanks to its high content of olive oil (a rich source of oleic acid), Marseille soap is considered to be one of the mildest and most delicate facial cleansers.
Today, mass-produced Marseille soap might contain various additives (dyes, fragrances, water softeners, etc.), but Cocos remains faithful to the original recipe. Its Marseille soap is made of olive oil and coconut oil, and infused with lavender extract. Thanks to coconut oil, the soap lathers well even in hard water. Lavender extract has antiseptic and soothing properties, as well as gives the soap a light, pleasant smell.
Marseille soap by Cocos can be used as a facial wash. It is suitable even for sensitive skin because it doesn’t cause redness, itching or flaking. You can also use the soap to pre-treat shirt collars and cuffs, to remove stains from delicate fabrics, and to disinfect cuts, scratches and other minor skin injuries (thanks to the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties of lavender).
100% natural. Free of dyes and fragrances. Made by cold process and cured a minimum of 6 weeks.
Directions. Lather the soap in your hands. Apply the lather to wet skin, massage, rinse.
Ingredients. Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract.
