100% natural vetiver powder is an effective product for regular skin and hair care produced by Triuga, a popular Ukrainian brand of Ayurvedic products. It is free of any additives and can be used to make various DIY skin and hair care products. Suitable for all skin and hair types.
Vetiver is a perennial bunchgrass native to the Indian Subcontinent. It is widely cultivated in tropical regions, including Brazil, China, Haiti, Indonesia, Japan and Réunion. Vetiver roots are a source of essential oil used for aromatherapy, as well as to produce cosmetics, soaps and perfumes. The plant is also used in traditional medicine because of its antiseptic properties.
Vetiver powder has pronounced antiseptic, rejuvenating and revitalising properties. You can add it to store-bought creams, oils, facial cleansers, shower gels, shampoos, hair and face masks, and other products to give them additional benefits.
As a skincare product, vetiver powder is used to normalise sebum secretion, reduce the appearance of pores, prevent oily shine, and combat acne breakouts. It also helps to restore the skin’s elasticity and firmness, has a pleasant cooling and refreshing effect, and soothes the skin, relieving skin redness and irritation.
Other skin benefits of vetiver include its moisturising, toning and rejuvenating effect. It makes the skin smoother, prevents puffiness, and smooths out fine lines. Vetiver powder is especially great for taking care of sensitive, irritated, oily, thin, dehydrated, and mature skin.
As a hair care product, vetiver powder helps to provide hair follicles with oxygen, repairs damaged hair structure, relieves scalp inflammation, and gives your scalp a pleasant sensation of coolness and freshness. In addition, vetiver can be used to get rid of lice.
