Comex presents extra virgin coconut oil. This is a 100% natural, unrefined vegetable oil produced by cold pressing, which allows to maximise its health and beauty benefits. Coconut oil is widely used in skin and hair care.
Coconut oil is derived from the wick, meat, and milk of the coconut palm fruit. Unrefined coconut oil has a light, sweet smell that reminds of fresh coconuts. Coconut oil is solid and white at room temperature but becomes liquid and clear at temperatures higher than 27 °С.
The fatty acid composition of coconut oil includes lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid, stearic acid, linoleic acid, and caproic acid. It also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, C, E and K and various dietary minerals, for example, iron, phosphorus, and calcium.
Cold pressed coconut oil is widely used as a cosmetic product. For example, it is perfect for taking care of dry skin. This oil nourishes and moisturises the skin, helps to protect it from UV radiation, makes the skin softer, and speeds up its healing and regeneration.
When used as a hair care product, coconut oil makes the hair softer, smoother and shinier, prevents breakage and split ends, promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss, and helps to protect the hair from harmful environmental factors.
You can use pure coconut oil or mix with other carrier oils. It can also be used to dilute essential oils or to enrich store-bought cosmetic products (moisturisers, skin and hair masks, shampoos, conditioners, scrubs, etc.).
