100% natural shea butter is produced by the Ukrainian beauty brand Aromatika. Shea butter, also known as karite butter, is extracted from the nut of the African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa, formerly Butyrospermum parkii). In Africa, it is widely used in food preparation, while outside Africa it is mainly used in cosmetics as an emollient (moisturiser).
Composition (useful substances). Shea butter is rich in unsaturated and saturated fatty acids such as oleic acid (40-60%), stearic acid (20-50%), linoleic acid (3-11%), palmitic acid (2-9%), linolenic acid (less than 1%) and arachidic acid (less than 1%). It also contains nonsaponifiable components including vitamins A, E, F.
Properties and application. Karite butter is solid at room temperature and melts at body temperature. It has a light nutty aroma. Shea butter is widely used for skin care because it absorbs rapidly and has good water-binding properties.
Shea butter has healing, conditioning, rejuvenating, protective and restoring properties. It can be used for daily care and is suitable for all skin types. Shea butter is used as a treatment for problem, damaged or dehydrated skin. It is also suitable for sensitive and delicate baby skin.
Shea butter can also be used as a hair care product. It penetrates deep into the hair structure and repairs damaged hair along its entire length. Regular use of the oil makes your hair soft, silky smooth and shiny, stimulates hair growth and prevents hair loss.
Directions. Can be applied in a pure form, combined with other vegetable and/or essential oils or added to ready-made cosmetic products.
Ingredients. 100% shea butter (100% Oleum Butyrospermi).
Contraindications. Hypersensitivity or intolerance.
