100% natural cocoa butter is produced by the Ukrainian beauty brand Aromatika. Cocoa butter, also known as theobroma oil, is extracted from the cocoa bean. Cocoa tree (Theobroma cacao) is native to Central and South America, but it is cultivated in other regions as well. At room temperature, cocoa butter is solid and pale-yellow, has a cocoa aroma. It melts at around 34–38 °C, becoming liquid and clear.
Composition (useful substances). Cocoa butter is rich in unsaturated and saturated fatty acids (with a relatively high proportion of saturated fats) such as oleic acid (34.5%), stearic acid (34.5%), palmitic acid (26.0%), linoleic acid (3.2%), arachidic acid (1.0%) and palmitoleic acid (0.3%).
Properties and application. Cocoa butter has nourishing, moisturising, softening, protective, toning, regenerative and rejuvenating properties. That is why it is a truly universal cosmetic product that helps to solve a wide range of skin problems.
Cocoa butter is used to protect the skin from harmful environmental factors such as low temperatures, wind and UV radiation. It also helps to prevent premature skin ageing and even smooths out fine lines. Cocoa butter improves skin elasticity and prevents stretch marks. Due to its very delicate effect, this oil is suitable for baby skin.
Directions. Can be applied in a pure form, combined with other vegetable and/or essential oils or added to ready-made cosmetic products.
Ingredients. 100% cocoa butter (100% Oleum Cacao, Butyrum Cacao).
Contraindications. Hypersensitivity or intolerance.
