Unrefined, cold-pressed coconut oil is a 100% natural product produced by the Ukrainian cosmetic brand Ambra (Lviv Private Soap Factory). The oil is made in India by cold pressing the kernel or meat of mature coconuts harvested from the coconut palm. This is a food-grade oil that can be used in cooking and as a personal care product.
Coconut oil by Ambra has a light, natural smell of fresh coconuts. It is white and solid at room temperature. Coconut oil begins to melt at 27° C, becoming a nearly clear liquid.
Composition (useful substances). Unrefined coconut oil is high in valuable fatty acids, both saturated and unsaturated. They include lauric acid, myristic acid, decanoic acid, caprylic acid, palmitic acid, and oleic acid. The oil also contains vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E and K as well as minerals like phosphorus, calcium and iron.
Personal uses. You can apply coconut oil as is, use it to make DIY cosmetics, or mix it with face creams, hair conditioners and other cosmetics. Coconut oil moisturises, nourishes and softens the skin and hair, stimulates skin cell regeneration, prevents dull and brittle hair. It also acts as a natural UV filter and can be used to prevent and relieve sunburn.
Culinary uses. Coconut oil has a light, pleasant nutty flavour with a touch of sweetness. It can be used in salads, sauces, sautés, pastries and baked goods. The smoke point of unrefined coconut oil is 177 °C so it is suitable for pan frying but should be used carefully for deep frying. Due to its high levels of saturated fat, coconut oil is resistant to rancidification.

Ambra cosmetics are free of artificial colourants, preservatives, fragrances, emulsifiers, surfactants, and other potentially irritating or harmful synthetic ingredients. Each product branded as Ambra contains only a bare minimum of natural ingredients like oils, spices, medicinal herbs, beeswax, honey and propolis, which is nevertheless enough to take good care of your skin and hair. All products are safe for human health which is confirmed by quality certificates issued by the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine. -
