  Carmex is a true legend among lip balms. Carmex Strawberry Tube Moisturising Lip Balm belongs to the brand’s daily care line. It is based on lanolin, beeswax and cocoa butter. The product also contains meadowfoam seed oil, stevia (candyleaf) extract, and sun protection ingredients (octinoxate and oxybenzone).

  Due to its texture, the lip balm glides on smoothly to soften, moisturise and nourish the lips. Lanolin, beeswax and cocoa butter make up the soft base of the product. These ingredients create a thin protective layer on the surface of the lips. It helps to lock in moisture and protects the lips from harsh wind, cold, dry air, etc.

  Meadowfoam seed oil is widely used in cosmetics due to its stability and emollient effect. It also has an antiseptic effect. It soothes irritated lips and speeds up the healing of cracks. Stevia extract prevents flaking, improves skin elasticity, and makes the lips smoother.

  Directions. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every 2 hours.

• Carmex (USA)

  Carmex is a popular brand of lip balms, owned and produced by the American company Carma Labs Inc. Founded by Alfred Woelbing, Carma Labs Inc. is based in Franklin, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.

  Alfred Woelbing started making lip balms by hand in 1937. He poured the medicated lip balm into jars in his kitchen and then visited pharmacies one by one to sell his product. Woelbing created the now-classic Carmex recipe in an attempt to treat his cold sores.

  The operation grew continuously, the only exception being the period during WWII when the Army bought up lanolin to grease equipment. In 1957, Woelbing realized that the business had become too big for his kitchen and moved the production to Wauwatosa. Carma Labs outgrew this facility in the 1970s and moved to its present factory location in Franklin. In 1980, the company made its first significant packaging change and started producing lip balms in squeezable tubes.

  Carmex eventually became popular all over the United States. By 2000, it had became available in all 50 states. Carma Labs introduced new flavours and product lines such as classic lib balm with cherry and strawberry flavours, Carmex Cold Sore Treatment, Carmex Comfort Care, and Carmex Daily Care.

  It would be safe to say that Carmex lip balms have become truly legendary and are known in many countries across the world. They are popular because of their high efficiency and affordable price.      I'm a huge fan of Carmex. This lip balm is probably one of their best. It heals chapped lips in no time and makes them super smooth and soft. And I love the strawberry flavor, it has no medicinal notes like the cherry one does. My boyfriend once told me that I smell like candy when I wear this lip balm. It's so lovely :)
