Chocolate Henna Based Hair Dye is produced by Ayurvedic brand Triuga. Based on Indian herbs, it will give your hair a deep and vibrant brown colour, as well as restore your hair’s natural strength and shine. Ammonia free.
Henna powder has long been used as a natural hair dye in many Asian countries. Prepared from the dried leaves of the plant Lawsonia inermis, henna can be used to dye hair different shades of red. When mixed with other herbal ingredients, it allows to get an even wider range of shades, from dark blond to black. Unlike chemical dyes, henna doesn’t cause weak or brittle hair; on the contrary, it strengthens hair roots, improves hair elasticity and flexibility, prevents hair loss, and helps to combat dandruff.
Chocolate Hair Dye by Triuga is based on a blend of henna with other Indian herbs. They include shikakai, amla and brahmi. Shikakai is a rich source of vitamins A, C, E, D and K; it thickens the hair and enhances its volume. Amla (Indian gooseberry) strengthens hair roots, protects hair colour from fading, and prevents premature grey hair due to its strong antioxidant effect. Brahmi stimulates dormant hair follicles and thus makes the hair grow faster and thicker.
Thanks to Ayurvedic herbs, the product not only dyes the hair but also has a conditioning effect. It makes the hair softer and more manageable, prevents tangling, facilitates combing and styling.
Directions. Mix the dye with warm water in a non-metallic bowl to obtain a lump-free paste. You’ll need 1 pack for short hair, 2 packs for medium length hair and 3 packs for long hair. Let the paste cool, put on protective gloves and apply the dye to dry, unwashed hair along the entire length. Let the dye sit for at least 20 minutes. The longer you leave it on your hair, the deeper colour you’ll get. In 20 minutes or more, wash your hair thoroughly without shampooing. Apply hair oil to nourish and protect your hair after dyeing.
Precautions. In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and rinse thoroughly. Do not use two weeks before or after perm. Conduct a patch test on a small area of skin 48 hours before dyeing to make sure you’re not sensitive to any of the ingredients. Not suitable for dyeing eyebrows or eyelashes.
