Granny Agafia’s Recipes, a popular Russian brand of natural and organic cosmetics, presents Natural Siberian Black Soap from its collection entitled Agafia’s Herbs. It can be used as both a shampoo and a shower gel. Extracts and oils obtained from 37 Siberian herbs strengthen the hair, improve the skin’s elasticity and firmness, provide the hair and skin with nutrients, and give a sensation of cleanness and freshness that lasts the whole day.
The soap owes its unusual black colour to chaga mushroom extract and birch tar. Chaga extract has a rejuvenating and antioxidant effect, and birch tar is valued for its antiseptic, bactericidal and antiparasitic properties. Besides, it has been traditionally used as a dandruff remedy in Russian villages. The huge advantage of Granny Agafia’s black soap over other products with birch tar is that it doesn’t have a pungent tar smell due to its high content of essential oils.
The soap also contains carrier and essential oils (Siberian pine, sea buckthorn, soybean, linseed, rose hip, juniper, rosemary, silver fir, amaranth) actively nourish and moisturise the skin and hair, strengthen their structure, produce a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect, stimulate skin cell turnover and hair growth, boost the skin’s elasticity and firmness, make the hair tamer and restore its healthy shine.
A mix of plant extracts (yarrow, nettle, chamomile, sage, birch, lemon balm, lungwort, oats, elecampane, hyssop, bearberry, golden root, hops, Baikal skullcap, oak bark, burdock, marshmallow, soapwort, licorice) complements and enhances the effect of oils. Besides, the combination of extracts and essential oils gives the soap an incredible herbal smell and an aromatherapeutic effect, which will be even more pronounced if you use the soap in a steam bath or sauna.
The soap has a thick, smooth texture, which makes it very easy and convenient to use. It cleanses the skin and hair effectively and at the same time delicately. Suitable for all skin and hair types.
Directions. Apply to wet skin and hair, lather, rinse off.
