Ukrainian-Indian brand Triuga presents Ayurvedic orange powder. This is a 100% natural, effective product that will help to take good care of your skin and hair. It is completely free of any additives and can be used to make DIY cosmetics (skin and hair masks, facial toners, hair rinses etc.).
Orange is believed to be the most cultivated fruit tree in the world. It originated in Ancient China and is now widely grown in most tropical and subtropical regions. Oranges are an excellent source of vitamin C, providing over 60% of daily value in a 100 g serving. They also contain vitamins A and E, B vitamins, dietary minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phoshporus, potassium and zinc), flavonoids and other useful compounds.
Orange powder is a great skincare product. It is perfect for taking care of oily and problem skin due to its balancing, anti-inflammatory, wound healing and antioxidant properties. Orange powder normalises sebum secretion in the epidermis, inhibits the growth of pathogenic bacteria on the skin surface, cleanses pores and prevents blackheads (comedones). In addition, it improves complexion, produces a revitalising effect and prevents couperose skin.
When used as a hair care product, orange improves microcirculation in the scalp and thus reduces hair loss and boosts hair growth. It also strengthens hair follicles, improves hair elasticity and flexibility, combats dandruff, prevents dry and flaky scalp.
Directions.
To make a skin/hair mask, mix 1 tsp orange powder with warm water to get a smooth paste. Apply to your skin or hair. Leave for 15–20 minutes, rinse with warm water. Follow up with skin toner and/or moisturiser, if necessary.
To make a decoction, put 1 tbsp powder into 500 ml water, bring to a boil, let simmer for 3 minutes. Let steep for 3 to 5 hours, strain before use.
To make an infusion, pour 500 ml warm water over 1 tbsp orange powder, leave overnight. Strain before use. The infusion can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can use orange decoction or infusion to wash or wipe your face, or as a hair rinse. Orange powder can be mixed with other Ayurvedic powders for a better effect.
Check for skin sensitivity before use. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
