Ukrainian-Indian brand Triuga presents Ayurvedic papaya powder. This is a 100% natural, effective product that will help you to take good care of your skin and hair. It is completely free of any additives and can be used to make DIY cosmetics (skin and hair masks, facial toners, hair rinses etc.).
Papaya is a small tree native to the tropical region of the Americas. It has been naturalised and is now cultivated in most tropical countries. Its edible fruits are a significant source of vitamin C, containing about 75% of the daily value. Other nutrients that can be found in papaya include vitamins A, E and K, B vitamins and dietary minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium and zinc).
Papaya powder is a great skincare product due to its exfoliating, whitening and cleansing properties. Thanks to containing a natural enzyme named papain, it removes dead cells from the skin surface, helps to get rid of toxins, reduces the appearance of pores and eliminates blackheads (comedones). In addition, papaya softens the skin, improves complexion, makes the skin smoother, produces an antioxidant effect and stimulates skin regeneration.
When used as a hair care product, papaya helps to strengthen and restore damaged hair, prevents brittle hair and split ends, boosts elasticity and flexibility, restores the hair’s natural volume and shine.
Directions.
To make a skin/hair mask, mix 1 tsp papaya powder with warm water to get a smooth paste. Apply to your skin or hair. Leave for 15–20 minutes, rinse with warm water. Follow up with skin toner and/or moisturiser, if necessary.
To make a decoction, put 1 tbsp powder into 500 ml water, bring to a boil, let simmer for 3 minutes. Let steep for 3 to 5 hours, strain before use.
To make an infusion, pour 500 ml warm water over 1 tbsp papaya powder, leave overnight. Strain before use. The infusion can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can use papaya decoction or infusion to wash or wipe your face, or as a hair rinse. Papaya powder can be mixed with other Ayurvedic powders for a better effect.
Check for skin sensitivity before use. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
