Eucalyptus is a genus of flowering trees, shrubs or mallees native to Australia. Today, eucalyptus is also cultivated in South America, South Africa, India and southern Europe. Eucalyptus powder effectively eliminates acne, relieves irritation and inflammation, unclogs and tightens pores, speeds up the healing of cuts and scratches, prevents acne scars. In addition, it makes the skin soft and velvety smooth, as well as makes restores its natural healthy glow.
As a hair care product, eucalyptus powder is used for deep cleansing of the hair and scalp. It normalises sebum secretion, combats dandruff, prevents itchy and flaky scalp, strengthens the hair along the entire length and improves its growth.
Directions.
To make a skin/hair mask, mix 1 tsp eucalyptus powder with warm water to get a smooth paste. Apply to your skin or hair. Leave for 15–20 minutes, rinse with warm water. Follow up with skin toner and/or moisturiser, if necessary.
To make a decoction, put 1 tbsp powder into 500 ml water, bring to a boil, let simmer for 3 minutes. Let steep for 3 to 5 hours, strain before use.
To make an infusion, pour 500 ml warm water over 1 tbsp eucalyptus powder, leave overnight. Strain before use. The infusion can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
You can use eucalyptus decoction or infusion to wash or wipe your face, or as a hair rinse. Eucalyptus powder can be mixed with other Ayurvedic powders for a better effect.
Check for skin sensitivity before use. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water.
