100% natural nagarmotha powder is produced by Triuga, a popular Ukrainian brand of Ayurveda-inspired cosmetics. It is an effective product for regular skin and hair care, which is free of any additives and can be used to prepare various DIY cosmetic products for at-home use.
Nagarmotha is the Hindu name of the plant Cyperus rotundus, known by many different names, including coco-grass, Java grass, kravanh chruk, nut grass, purple/red nut sedge, etc. It is native to Africa, southern Asia, and southern and central Europe. The plant has many beneficial uses in folk medicine, pharmacology, food, and perfumery.
The rhizomes (rootstalks) of nagarmotha are a source of fragrant essential oil, which is used a perfume ingredient. It provides a woody note with facets of cedar, patchouli and vetiver. Perfumes with nagarmota include Orris & Sandalwood Jo Malone London, Givenchy Xeryus, MDCI Parfums Cuir Garamante, Noir de Mars Scent on Canvas, and others.
Nagarmotha powder is obtained from the tubers of the plant, which are widely used in traditional medicine systems, such as Ayurveda and Chinese medicine, where nagarmotha is regarded as a qi-regulating herb. It is rich in flavonoids, quercetin, terpenoids, and other biologically active substances. When used as a hair care product, nagarmotha powder prevents premature grey hair, helps to normalise the production of sebum in the scalp, prevents dandruff and itching. In addition, it stimulates hair follicles, boosting hair growth, and makes the hair silky and shiny.
Nagarmotha powder is also effective as a skincare product due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It soothes the skin, combats pigmentation, and prevents skin redness.
