Tulasi (holy basil) powder is a 100% natural, effective Ayurvedic product for regular skin and hair care produced by Triuga, a popular Ukrainian beauty brand. It contains no additives and can be used to make various DIY skin and hair care products. Suitable for all skin and hair types.
Tulasi, also known as tulsi or holy basil, is an aromatic plant native to India and cultivated in tropical climates throughout Southeast Asia for religious and medicinal purposes. In Hinduism, tulasi is considered a sacred plant, and its leaves play a mandatory part in the worship of Vishnu, his avatars like Vithoba and Krishna, and some other deities. The plant is also widely used in Ayurveda.
In skincare, tulasi is used as an antioxidant and anti-age product. It helps to stimulate skin cell metabolism and skin renewal, as well as neutralises the harmful effects of free radicals and thus slows down the ageing process and restores the skin’s youthfulness. Tulasi powder also has toning, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties; it combats infections and relieves irritated skin.
As a hair care product, tulasi stimulates microcirculation in the scalp and helps to provide hair follicles with nutrients and oxygen, reducing hair loss and stimulating hair growth. It also cleanses the scalp, as well as makes the hair softer and tamer and restores its healthy gloss.
Directions. Mix 1 tsp powder with warm water to get a smooth paste. Apply to your skin or hair. Leave for 15–20 minutes, rinse with warm water. Follow up with skin toner and moisturiser.
