Neem oil is pressed from the fruits and seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica, also known as nimtree or Indian lilac), which is indigenous to the Indian subcontinent. It can vary in colour from golden yellow to dark brown and has a rather strong odour, resembling a combination of garlic and peanut.
