Triuga presents jatamansi powder, a 100% natural ayurvedic product that effectively combats acne and skin inflammation. It is obtained from a flowering plant of the valerian family that grows in the Himalayas (Bhutan, China, India, Nepal) and has long been known for its medicinal properties.
Nardostachys jatamansi, known as jatamansi, nard, nardin, spikenard or muskroot, has been used in religious ceremonies and traditional medicinal systems since ancient times. In some regions, it is even considered endangered due to overharvesting for folk medicines, although the situation has somewhat improved recently.
In Ayurveda, all parts of jatamansi have long been used for medicinal and cosmetic purposes, but the roots of the plant are considered especially valuable because they contain a high amount of aromatic resins. According to Ayurveda, jatamansi soothes the three doshas, gives strength, purifies the blood, and promotes good sleep. As for its cosmetic benefits, the plant owes them to its antioxidant, whitening, soothing, antiseptic, softening, anti-inflammatory, and wound healing properties.
In skin care, jatamansi powder is most often used as an acne treatment. It helps to remove excess sebum from pores, prevents comedones (blackheads) and pimples, soothes the skin and prevents irritation.
In addition, jatamansi powder helps to keep the skin hydrated, makes it soft and smooth, produces a pleasant cooling and deodorising effect, boosts skin regeneration and renewal, restores the natural elasticity and firmness of the skin, improves complexion, and gives the skin a healthy glow.
