Ukrainian beauty brand Cocos presents its AHA Fruit Acid Peel. This is an effective product for superficial chemical skin peeling based on a blend of alpha hydroxy acids (lactic acid, tartaric acid, glycolic acid, citric acid). It is suitable for various skin types, including oily, dry, and mature skin; specifically designed for at-home chemical peeling treatments.
The effect of the peel is based on exfoliating properties of alpha hydroxy acids, also known as AHAs or simply fruit acids. AHAs have a strong keratolytic effect, thanks to which they easily remove dead epidermal cells from the skin surface and actively stimulate skin renewal.
AHA Fruit Acid Peel 10% (pH 3.5) by Cocos is designed for delicate exfoliation and cleansing of all skin types. It is especially recommended for dry, oil, and ageing skin. This peel is great for getting rid of undesired pigmentation, including freckles and age spots. If you’ve never used chemical peels before, such concentration is perfect to start with.
The product effectively prevents dull complexion, unclogs and tightens pores, prevents blackheads, normalises sebum secretion in the epidermis, and helps to maintain the skin’s natural hydro-lipid balance. Chemical peeling stimulates collagen synthesis in the skin, which helps to improve skin elasticity and reduce wrinkles. The procedure makes the skin soft and velvety smooth, keeps it looking healthy and glowing.
Directions. Apply several drops of product to clean, dry skin with your fingertips, avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave for several minutes, then apply chemical peel neutraliser and leave for 1 more minute. Rinse thoroughly with cool water. Leave the peel for 1 minute during the first application, than add 1 minute during each subsequent procedure, but don’t leave the product on the skin longer than 15 minutes. Use once a week for 2 or 3 months (10–12 procedures).
A light tingling or burning sensation during the procedure is a normal reaction to chemical peel, as well as red skin or flaking within 1–2 days after peeling. However, if you experience severe burning or other unpleasant symptoms, you should consult a doctor. To prevent allergic reactions, do a patch test on a small area of the skin (for example, on your wrist or behind the ear) 24 hours before the first application.
Do not use during pregnancy or lactation, shortly after tanning, or if you have couperose skin, herpes, bleeding disorders, diabetes mellitus. Do not apply to damaged or inflamed skin.
